Class A Officers Pinks
Dublin Core
Title
Class A Officers Pinks
Subject
Women's Army Corps
Description
This uniform is for an officer with privately purchased pinks. These uniforms would have brass buttons manufactured by Waterbury Button Company, and a brass cut out of the US Army on the color and the Athena logo, the WAAC and WAC logo on the lower part of the collar. If the individual was a nurse or had a special branch assignment, they would have a medical insignia, Air Force or other such ensignia.
This is a second pattern jacket, which removed the use of the upper pockets (it's just a flap) and the welt pockets on the lower half of the jacket were moved over from the first pattern.
